Nathalie (Nati) Ramirez (b. 2003) is a South Florida-based abstract contemporary artist whose work emphasizes texture, movement, and color. As a second-generation, self-taught artist, she began her creative journey at a very early age, spending most of her time in her father's art studio, developing her signature style through experimentation and intuitive exploration.
Artist Statement
I find endless inspiration in nature—whether it’s the texture of a seashell, the pattern of clouds, or the shifting hues of the sky and sea. I’m constantly drawn to the details that surround me and reflect them in my abstract work. I build up layers of acrylic paint to create depth, incorporating sand-like textures and collage materials that bring a tactile, organic quality to the work. I also use pencil, marker, and textured paste to shape flowing, natural forms inspired by coastal themes and florals, blending imagination with nature’s raw beauty. My practice is always evolving. I enjoy the process of experimentation, allowing new materials and techniques to guide me and keep the work intuitive and fresh. Color plays a central role in my process. I use bold tones and rough textures to bring energy, and soft blends and washes to invite calm. With each piece, I hope to evoke a sense of peace, connection, and quiet wonder.
